Nick James, Family Therapist

Nick is an experienced systemic therapist who has worked in a range of public and private sector settings providing care to children, couples and families. He also works as a consultant to organisations who require expertise in mediating conflict and repairing relationships between individuals in the context of an organisation.

Nick has worked in a number of NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services supporting children and parents facing an extensive range of challenges. He’s also worked in specialist clinics including Action for Autism in New Delhi, India, and within the NHS focusing on neuro-developmental issues and eating disorders. These include the South West London & St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust Eating Disorder Service; The Priory, Roehampton - Eating Disorders, and the West London Mental Health NHS Trust Neuro-developmental team.

His background includes over 30 years as a consultant working across the world specialising in organisational change, leadership coaching, corporate diplomacy, conflict, relationship management, and mediation. His coaching work at The Soke involves C-Suite level executives, who see the value in using someone who can complement coaching skills with psychotherapy and experience in helping them to manage stress & anxiety, amongst other emotional issues.
