EDUCATION SERVICES

The Soke’s Mission is to re-model the perception and experience of mental health services by providing best-in-class, multi-disciplinary remedial and preventative care, working with children, adolescents and adults within a school environment. We strive to improve access to information, education and support on mental health and wellbeing, to enable schools to better manage their pupils, parents and staff.

Our clear Governance Structure creates a system of accountability and ownership within each specialty division, supervised by a Clinical Board, in turn reporting to the Management Board.

We are rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT FOR SCHOOLS

We have experts available in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy and coaching and we’ll work with you to determine which disciplines or formats are best suited for your school’s unique mental health welfare needs.

  • By embedding a practitioner into your school community, you are building an effective support system for your pupils, staff and parents. As well as providing access to safe, experienced practitioners for your internal population, a speciasist is able to navigate school/parent relationships in the case of pupils who require ongoing mental health care.

  • Supervision has a positive contribution to make by supporting school staff, particularly those on whom pressures have been exacerbated by the fallout from the pandemic. It consists of a formal process of professional support, reflection and learning that can contribute enormously to an individual’s sense of wellbeing and capacity to cope.

  • The Soke provides psycho-education sessions andfworkshops for pupils, staff and parents, focusing on specialist subjects and strategies.

  • For schools working with The Soke, we submit a written report at the end of each term, providing an overview of the number of pupils seen, a precise breakdown of presenting issues and any other issues of note that would benefit from being brought to the school’s attention. We will identify trends and outcomes and make such recommendations as may be necessary to improve the school’s overall responses or policies towards issues that are relevant to the behavioural health of its pupils.
